Well, it’s application here is close to as amazing. Put it on a piece of pratha, add some feta, Greek yogart, and a side salad… Bam! Healthy Indian taco dinner. Did I mention syracha? Xo

It may make me sound like a woman of a certain age—downy cheek whiskers, etc.—to wax poetic about the perfection of a scotch bonnet pepper. But I grew them on my patio, and they sit now, fermenting, in a carboy in our studio apartment laundry room, infusing Grace’s blouses with a pong of funk and spice. Perfect.

I’m going to let this sit in the fridge overnight. I may want to add basil tomorrow before bottling this micro batch of #strawberry #habenero #hotsauce . It has some orange sweet peppers, a little carrot, rhubarb, and garlic. Salt and vinegar. I hope it’s as good as my last attempt. No idea on the shelf life. I let the last batch stay in the fridge, most nights. I did find it on the counter in the morning from time to time, but it lasted months until we ate it all.
